Jacqueline Ooten is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) and certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-C). She has extensive experience in open heart recovery, structural heart, heart failure, and noninvasive cardiology. Her expertise includes managing and treating cardiovascular disease and associated conditions, coordinating care for transcatheter mitral valve repair (TMVR) and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), and collaborating with cardiovascular surgeons and interventional cardiologists. She is also skilled in patient education and assistance with diagnostics, such as electrocardiograms and other specialized tests.
Jacqueline has been caring for patients in the Tampa Bay area since 2007. She advocates for patients’ and families’ needs while providing education and emotional support.
Jacqueline earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from South University in Savannah, Georgia, and her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in the family nurse practitioner program at South University in Tampa.
She is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and holds licenses as an APRN and registered nurse in Florida. Jacqueline has completed cardiovascular intensive care open heart training and holds NIH Stroke Scale certification. She is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Jacqueline enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her goldendoodle, Luca. She loves going to the beach and is a certified scuba diver.
