Allergy Asthma & Immunology

Allergies and asthma should not control your life. The Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health Department of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology provides a complete array of services to provide full evaluation and diagnosis of various conditions, along with asthma and allergy treatment plans.

Our allergy and asthma specialists will evaluate your medical history and conduct tests to determine what is triggering your symptoms. There is no “one-size-fits-all” allergy treatment. Triggers are different for everyone and some could cause a mild reaction one day then a more severe reaction the next. Our allergists will then develop an individualized management plan, based on your diagnosis and treatment goals, so you can get back to enjoying your life.

If symptoms persist with medication, immunotherapy may be your best option. Immunotherapy involves periodic injections of allergen over a period of three to five years to help your body tolerate specific allergens over time. This reduces the need for long-term medications.

Treating asthma is often an ongoing process so we strive to develop meaningful, long-term relationships with our patients. Our job doesn’t end when a patient’s asthma is initially controlled. We help patients update and adjust their treatment plans as needed, with the ultimate goal of reducing medication dependence.
