Alexis is originally from Niagara Falls, NY but lived in St. Augustine and Fort Lauderdale to attend school prior to settling in Tampa, Florida. Her medical background began in orthopedics as a certified athletic trainer, prior to becoming a certified surgical first assistant and physician assistant. After graduating Physician Assistant school in 2018, Alexis worked on the cardiothoracic surgery team at Holy Cross Hospital where she managed patients both in surgery and in the cardiovascular ICU. She also surgically assisted in other specialties including orthopedics, spine, vascular, and general surgery. Alexis also worked in rheumatology, treating a vast range of patients, including many musculoskeletal and autoimmune conditions. She in passionate about cardiovascular health and is a member of the American College of Cardiology.
In her free time she enjoys practicing yoga, going to the beach, and being active outdoors with her husband and son.
