I have been a patient of Dr. Herrero's for over 15 years. In fact, she was my physician before she signed on with Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health. Actions are louder than words! I moved to the East coast of Florida, Coral Springs. I have not gotten a primary doctor over here. In fact, when I come over to the west coast, about 2 times a month, I always make an appointment to see her. The trip is 280 miles!!!! She must be doing something good for me to stay a patient of hers, even if I have to travel 280 miles for her to see me.

My favorite doctor is Dr. Belen Herrero. She is always up to date on everything. Takes her time and I never feel rushed, like I'm just another patient. Makes you feel comfortable. She is awesome!!

After moving to the Tampa area 11 years ago, my husband and I were in need of a doctor. A neighbor recommended Dr. Herrero to us and we've been with her ever since. She is so kind and understanding, and her goal is to keep us healthy. She keeps a close watch on our blood work and takes her time explaining everything to us at each visit. Also, if we need a refill on our prescriptions, her office takes care of it the day we call.

"She has truly saved my life on more than one occasion."

I have been a patient of Dr. Herrero for more than a decade! I first met her when I sold her a home. During the building process, we got to know each other. One day I mentioned to her that I didn't have a doctor, that if I was sick, I just went to Urgent Care. I think she laughed and said, something along the lines of, "Lisa, you don't just go to a doctor when you're sick, at the very least, you need to be getting an annual physical." Well, I had NO idea what or why I would need that, I mean I was young, 31, and healthy! At any rate, she went on to explain the benefits of having a primary care physician, and since I liked her and trusted her, I made an appointment for this "physical thing." And the rest as they say is history. She was patient and kind and understanding on my first appointment. And until this day, even though her practice has grown immensely, she is still patient and kind and understanding. Even when I know she has other patients waiting on her, she is always patient, she answers my questions, and she is never rude or curt. I believe she has truly saved my life on more than one occasion. But this one specific time, is one I will NEVER forget. I was scheduled to have surgery (for something unrelated to this story) in late December, 2012. They told me at the hospital that I had a fever and they would not perform the surgery. I thought it was ridiculous, I didn't feel sick! Anyway, that night, I was in excruciating pain, I called her at 8 a.m. (when the office opened) she saw me first thing. She ordered a CT Scan and sent me to have the scan done in minutes. She was able to get the results back before I got home from the CT Scan. It turned out to be an abdominal issue and I needed to be checked into a hospital that day! She called the hospital and got me set up. I was in the hospital for five days getting better. And that is just one of many times she has gone above and beyond with me. She really exemplifies what being a doctor is all about. So, I guess she was right all along. I can't even imagine what I would have done on that day, being in so much pain that I couldn't drive and could barely stand, sitting an Urgent Care waiting room, suffering! Thank God I listened on that day more than 10 years ago! Everyone needs a PCP, not just any PCP, but someone like Dr. Herrero, who cares and listens!! I have referred my friends to her, my family members to her, and total strangers! She is truly one-of-a-kind and I love her!... Read More +
