Dr. Martens is a hospital-based pathologist with board certifications in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, and Laboratory Management. He earned a Master of Public Health with a focus on Global Communicable Diseases from the University of South Florida, following which he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Dr. Martens completed a combined residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of South Florida, Department of Pathology in Tampa. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of South Florida and is a member of both the College of American Pathologists and the Florida Society of Pathologists.
When not treating his patients, Dr. Martens enjoys sprint and Olympic distance triathlons, CrossFit training, Olympic/Power weightlifting, racquetball, beach volleyball, scuba diving and kayaking.
