Charles “Chuck” Nalley, MD is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who is fellowship trained in spine surgery. He specializes in sports related injuries and provides comprehensive care for acute and degenerative conditions in all areas of the spine, including cervical, thoracic and lumbar. He is an expert in the treatment of disc herniations, radicular syndrome (nerve pain), sciatica, spondylosis, stenosis, sacroiliac dysfunction, spine tumors, spine trauma and both adult and adolescent scoliosis.
Dr. Nalley provides complete care to his patients. In addition to diagnosing conditions of the spine and developing treatment plans, he personally performs spine surgery and interventional pain management procedures. Patients progress through all aspects of care, including consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery, under one single physician. Through open communication and collaborative care, Dr. Nalley is dedicated to achieving optimal health outcomes and improved quality of life for his patients.
Following his residency, Dr. Nalley was selected as a spine surgery fellow by the Texas Back Institute, one the world’s leaders in degenerative conditions of the spine. During his training, he was published in several peer reviewed research journals and co-authored a chapter in Benzel’s Spine Surgery, 4th edition.
After fellowship, Dr. Nalley moved back to his home state of Arkansas before returning to Tampa Bay. He was pivotal in the treatment of key players for the Tampa Bay Lightning, leading them to a Stanley Cup Championship win in 2021.
Away from work, Dr. Nalley enjoys outdoor activities, movies, reading, grilling, weight lifting, watching sports and spending time with his family.
