Dennis M. Cassidy, MD

Dennis M. Cassidy, MD, is a board-certified clinical cardiac electrophysiologist. Dr. Cassidy’s educational journey began in Canada, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology, graduating with honors, from Arcadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. He then obtained his medical degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland, followed by an internship in internal medicine at Memorial. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Toronto and a cardiology residency at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.

Dr. Cassidy received a Canadian Heart Foundation research fellowship, which enabled him to complete a three-year fellowship in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He has authored and co-authored several articles in the field of cardiac electrophysiology.

Additionally, Dr. Cassidy earned an MBA with a finance concentration from the University of Tampa. He was affiliated with the University of South Florida Morsani School of Medicine, where he directed the inpatient cardiac electrophysiology service at Tampa General Hospital. His dedication to education was recognized with The Guillermo B. Cintron Award for excellence in cardiology teaching.
