Ellen was born in Columbus, Ohio and raised in Naples, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Science from the University of Central Florida and her Master of Medical Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Charleston Southern University. During her time at Charleston Southern, she served as Student Leadership Association President.

Ellen is a member of Pi Alpha, the national honor society for Physician Assistants, and was inducted for significant scholastic achievement and excellence in leadership and community service. Ellen has a passion for dermatology and providing patient-centered care. In her free time, she enjoys golfing, reading, and boating.
