Erin Thomas, MD

Dr. Erin Thomas is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist. Her clinical focus includes labor and delivery, family planning, contraceptive counseling, postpartum depression, peripartum mental health, and mental health disorders related to chronic pelvic pain.

Dr. Thomas earned her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh, graduating summa cum laude, and her medical degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center/Mount Carmel Health in Columbus, where she later served as an assistant professor, adviser, and member of its clinical practice.

She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of the Society for Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology and the North American Society for Psychosocial Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Thomas has published research on neonatal outcomes in pregnant women undergoing medical assistance for opioid use. Additionally, she has volunteered as a supervising physician at La Clinica Latina, a free clinic run by Ohio State medical students aiming to serve the Hispanic population in the Columbus area. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and learning Spanish.
