George E. Blanco, MD, is a native of St. Petersburg, where he graduated as valedictorian from St. Petersburg High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida before earning his medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa.
Dr. Blanco remained at the University of South Florida for his residency, serving as chief resident. He also completed a fellowship in cardiology at the same institution, where he was appointed chief fellow of cardiology. He is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
