John C. Brock, MD, FACS, is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon. His areas of expertise include thoracic surgery for lung cancer, esophageal surgery, and treating lung diseases using minimally invasive procedures.
Dr. Brock earned his bachelor’s degree in biology, graduating cum laude from Mercer University in Georgia, followed by a master’s in cell biology from Harvard University. He completed his medical degree at the University of Florida, graduating in the top 15% of his class. His postdoctoral training includes an internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine, a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery, and a fellowship in congenital heart reconstruction at Denver Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Brock trained and worked alongside Dr. Michael DeBakey for a decade, a surgeon renowned for pioneering cardiac procedures.
Dr. Brock is board certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He is also certified by the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Rehabilitative Medicine and has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications.
