Katherine F. Wojnowich, MD

Dr. Katherine Wojnowich is a board-certified physician. With dual board certifications in sports medicine and family medicine, she specializes in the care of active patients. In addition to her clinical role, Dr. Wojnowich serves as the director of the sports medicine fellowship program and is a faculty member in the family medicine residency. She also acts as the medical director of the Eckerd College student health services and athletics department and holds an appointment as an associate professor at the University of South Florida’s Department of Family Medicine.

Dr. Wojnowich graduated magna cum laude with a degree in classical studies from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts. Prior to her medical training, she was a U.S. Fulbright Scholar. She earned her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, followed by a residency in family medicine and a fellowship in sports medicine at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.

Board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Wojnowich is an active member of various professional organizations, including the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine and the Florida Association of Family Physicians. She contributes her expertise as a team physician for Eckerd College and is involved with numerous local sports teams and events.
