Victoria Otano, MD

Dr. Victoria Otano is a board-certified family medicine physician. She is experienced in providing comprehensive primary care, managing both acute and chronic conditions, and offering preventive health services such as screenings and patient education. Dr. Otano also specializes in LGBT/HIV care, including pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and hormone replacement therapy (HRT). She is committed to ensuring that minorities and underrepresented groups have access to quality care, working to reduce health disparities and increase the presence of minority physicians in the field.

Dr. Otano earned her bachelor’s degree in biology magna cum laude from the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega. She completed her medical degree at the University of Kansas Medical School in Kansas City, where she was recognized for her dedication to diversity and inclusion. Dr. Otano then pursued her residency in family medicine at Halifax Health in Daytona Beach, Florida, with a focus on healthcare disparities.

She serves as a council member for the Florida Academy of Family Physicians’ justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion initiative. Dr. Otano has presented research on the impact of race in maternal and newborn care and mentors Latino pre-med students preparing for medical school.

Dr. Otano is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is credentialed as an HIV specialist by the American Academy of HIV Medicine. Her professional affiliations include the American Academy of Family Physicians, National Hispanic Medical Association, American Medical Association, Florida Academy of Family Physicians, and American Academy of HIV Medicine. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
