Since 2007, Dr. Cronen has been dedicated to helping children with spinal deformities at the Shriners Hospitals for Children® in Tampa. The hospital focuses on treating children with a variety of orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal conditions in a kid friendly atmosphere.
Reconstructive spine surgery is of particular value in treating patients afflicted with multi-level degenerative problems, particularly those due to underlying genetic spine disease in which neurological impairment has occurred. Reconstruction is also of great value in salvaging and rebuilding failed back and neck surgeries. Dr. Cronen is also experienced in treating patients suffering from sciatica and cervical hernias. Our goal is to correct deformities and relieve the painful and often debilitating symptoms caused by herniated discs, scoliosis, spinal tumors, compression fractures, and spinal trauma.
As official team physician to the Tampa Bay Lightning since 2012 and the official Spine Doctor for the Toronto Blue Jays since 2017, as well as many local college and high school teams, we are trained to care for athletes of all levels. Our goal is to provide personal attention and individualize treatment to meet the needs of each of our patients by utilizing cutting edge technology and state of the art rehabilitation technology.
