A hospitalist specializes in coordinating care for you in the hospital. These dedicated providers work exclusively in hospital settings, and come with an expert understanding of inpatient care and hospital system requirements.

Twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week, our Department of Hospital Medicine ensures high-priority care during your stay in the hospital. Because we spend our entire time in the hospital, we are available throughout the day for admissions and emergencies. We care for you in the same manner as your own primary care physician, ordering treatments, tests and consulting with other specialists.

Hospital medicine is a hands-on medical specialty that translates to better care and better use of hospital resources. It also shortens the length of your stay so you can get back to the comfort of your home. Once you’re discharged from the hospital, care will return to your primary care physician.
